Dum Dum Girls have certainly evolved over the years, both musically and personally. Rest assured, their raggedy, garage rock sound hasn’t been polished off and made slick, but their new material is noticeably more lush and emotive leveraging unique textures and production. Did we mention that we think Dee Dee is damn good when it comes to crafting solid, soul stirring songs that will break your little black heart?
Today marks the release of both the anticipated End of Daze EP (Sub Pop) and the debut of the official video for Lord Knows via Rookie Mag.
According to a fan email that went out this morning, the now-platinum frontwoman will be posting a series of remixes to their revamped site in the coming weeks. If you have an idea, you can submit it to her by sending an email to info@wearedumdumgirls.com with “Mix Me” in the subject line.
