We’re not going to lie, the name Ambrosia Parsley makes us think of a delicious, fresh salad. Not sure why, but that’s a fact. That being said, the Donkey thinks this California native is a darn, fine artist.
Parsley knows how to make people listen to her songs. When she was just six years old, she found herself hatching a plan that only seasoned publicist might dream up. The warm tale goes, the little lady had the most successful lemonade stand on the block founded on sheer ingenuity. For fifty cents you got a drink. If you threw down $1.50 more, you got homemade libation and a song. She’s still cleverly roping in supporters by giving away her most recent EP, i miss you, i do, and working a project on the upstart site, Pledge Music to fund her upcoming album, Weeping Cherry, due later this year.
You can also check out Ambrosia on the rave-worthy soundtrack for the Oscar nominated film, Silver Linings Playbook.
