Of Montreal, The Whigs and Chelsea Light Moving (featuring Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth) top a robust list of bands playing this year’s Savannah Stopover. The festival folks have spit shined the lineup and released the day by day schedule.
Hosted in one of America’s most beautiful cities, the Savannah Stopover offers bands en route to SXSW a place to stay, play and eat a shit ton of good grub. Seriously, there’s more to delicious food in this city than Paula Deen. We digress. Kicking off in 2011, the Stopover is quickly becoming one of the premiere places to catch artists on the rise. Do yourself a favor and head down south come March. Trust the Donkey.
We’ll do our best to preview the weekend with band interviews, clips, and other assorted delights. With any luck, we’ll bring you coverage from the shows as well.
