Until now, Virginia-based artist John Harouff  has been widely known for his work with the The Cinnamon Band, a wildly popular juggernaut o’ song craft.  Enter Dead Professional, Harouff’s solo project that finds the talented player sounding a little Springsteen and Costello while carving out a booze-soaked niche of his own.

He recently opened for Kurt Vile and is set to play with Bobby Bare Jr. at the end of the month (July 29 at the Iota Club & Cafe).  Check out his new single Downtown at Sundown.  We think it’s pretty fantastic.
