We’re pretty impressed with the stuff coming from White Iris, the label arm of creative hothouse Black Iris. This time, they bring us Smartboys, a project comprised of Fucked Up members Jonah Falco and Mike Haliechuk, as well as Tim Westberg of U.S. Girls. The first single from their recent two song release, Receiving the Bribe/The Wrench of Recollection is a riff-fueled juggernaut that brings back early memories of sweaty, shoulder-to-shoulder shows and swilling cheap ass beer well after a godly hour.  That’s a good thing, folks.
