Mount Moriah Delivers “White Sands,” Woos Donkey

If you are not familiar with Carolina darlings Mount Moriah, that needs to change.  Pick up their sophomore album, Miracle Temple.  Purveyors of sepia-soaked country tunes of the New South, the trio is nostalgic without being derivative. Sweet baby Jesus, they’re good.  Frontwoman Heather McEntire has a voice that’ll make you weep tears of unabashed joy.

The video for White Sands was co-directed by Soleil Ananda Konkel and Jesse Paddock and filmed in the bands’ hometown of Durham. We here at Donkey Jaw are utterly smitten with it.

The band will play the Hopscotch Music Festival in Raleigh, NC later this fall.  Tickets are still available.
